Supporting cross-border e-commerce
Hill+Knowlton Strategies Director Joost Vantomme has published an article in the March 2014 edition of Mail & Express Review exploring the barriers to cross-border e-commerce and how these can be surmounted. In his article, Joost explores the European Commission’s initiatives and evaluates the proposed options from a policy and economic standpoint.

Furthermore, Joost features in a new book on “The Role of Postal Service in a Digital Age”. He is author of a contribution called “Re-regulation for parcel delivery in the e-commerce context”. The article provides a comprehensive overview of the European regulatory and policy frameworks that should foster trade through e-commerce. It contains also a number of tools that are available to Member States, regulators, e-retailers, delivery operators and other partners that are active in the e-commerce value chain.
