Katia specialises in consumer health brands and is particularly interested in functional foods, health and obesity issues. Her key accounts are Kellogg’s, GSK Biologicals, Lundbeck, European Natural Soyfoods Manufacturers Association, Chiquita, Grünenthal and Cardio3 BioSciences. Katia has over a 20 years experience as a specialist in food, pharmaceutical, healthcare and lifestyle, and she has a strong knowledge of the corporate media landscape and key opinion leaders.
Katia also specialises in crisis/corporate communications, having been in charge of major EU product recalls, acquisitions and food crises.
Previously, Katia spent two years in-house with Nestlé in Brussels, which gives her a unique client perspective and a strong insight into the demands and pressures of the FMCG environment. Prior to that, she spent 10 years in a local PR agency and one year in an event/ad agency.
Katia is a graduate in Communication with a postgraduate course in European Communication at BCPR. Katia is a member of the Association Belge des Conseils en Relations Publiques (ABCRP). Passionate about food, Katia is also a member of the Belgian Nutrition Plan, which was established in 2006 by the Belgian Health Ministry.
Katia is fluent in French, Dutch and English.
