Melanie is responsible for the communications business of Hill+ Knowlton in Brussels. Her particular consulting focus is corporate and financial communications, change management and issues management in sectors including finance, energy, industrial and government.
Melanie worked for H+K in the Middle East for 9 years, latterly as regional director, based in Dubai. She previously ran H+K’s UAE and Bahrain businesses. Her client experience includes Shell, WWF, Masdar, Sabic, PwC, Mercer, General Motors, Qatar First Investment Bank, Microsoft, Investcorp, Halliburton and Boeing. In the public sector she has advised Dubai Road and Transport Authority, The UAE Federal National Council, The UAE Government Communications Office, Bahrain Economic Development Board, and Bahrain Monetary Agency. In the UK she worked for the UK’s National Grid company, British Gas Storage, Camelot, British Steel and the UK Department for Education & Skills among others. Melanie is an accomplished trainer and coach.
Melanie previously worked at Harrison Cowley, the UK’s largest regional PR network, as Associate Director of its corporate team in London.
Melanie is a British national, brought up in Holland. She speaks Dutch and some French and holds a joint honours degree in marketing and design from Lancaster University and is a member of the UK Institute of Public Relations and Middle East PR Association. She sat on the board of the British Business Group for Dubai and the Northern Emirates as Communications Director.
